The driver of a vehicle was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition after crashing into a pole on a major southeast highway, police said Sunday.
They say it happened at around 6:30 a.m. at 94 Avenue and Macleod Trail SE.
Police say the victim — the only occupant of the vehicle — was extracted from the vehicle by Calgary firefighters.
Meanwhile, Macleod Trail is closed in both directions between 90 Avenue and Southland Drive SE as police investigate.
