Molded Precision Components (MPC) will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a special open house on Friday, May 1, 2026, at its facility located at 165 Line 4 South, Oro-Medonte.

The event will bring together employees, customers, suppliers, community partners, elected officials and media representatives to recognize two decades of growth, resilience and manufacturing excellence in Ontario.

Founded in 2006 by David Yeaman and Thomas Woegerer, MPC began with humble roots: two entrepreneurs, a quiet 8,000-square-foot facility, three moulding machines and a basic tool room.

Twenty years later, the company has grown into a world-class advanced manufacturing operation with a 70,000-square-foot footprint, 48 injection moulding machines and a strong reputation for precision, innovation and customer partnership on the global stage.

At a time when manufacturers across Ontario continue to face rising costs, global competition, labour pressures and supply chain uncertainty, MPC’s anniversary is a meaningful reminder of what can be built locally through determination, long-term commitment and a people-first culture. Throughout its journey, the company has remained committed to creating jobs, investing in technology and proving that advanced manufacturing can thrive in Ontario.

MPC’s story has also been defined by resilience and service. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the company pivoted quickly to manufacture and deliver 27 million face shields to frontline workers across Canada.

Over the years, MPC has earned recognition, including General Motors Overdrive Supplier of the Year, Multimatic Global Supplier of the Year, recognition as one of Canada’s Fastest Growing Companies by The Globe and Mail, designation as one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures, and certification as a Great Place to Work. Most recently, as of April 1, 2026, MPC officially achieved Living Wage Employer eligibility, reinforcing its commitment to being an employer of choice in Simcoe County and beyond.

“This milestone is deeply meaningful to us because it represents 20 years of people believing in something and building it together,” said David Yeaman, president and co-founder of Molded Precision Components.

“Like many manufacturers, we have faced no shortage of challenges over the years, but we have continued to move forward through hard work, innovation and an incredible team. We are proud to be a local manufacturer still growing, still investing and still believing in what Canadian industry can achieve.”

“Our story is a local story,” said Thomas Woegerer, co-founder of Molded Precision Components. “It is a story about entrepreneurship, perseverance, community and the value of building something real over time. We are grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey, and we are excited to open our doors and celebrate with the people who helped make it possible.”

The May 1 open house will feature networking, remarks from MPC leadership, presentations highlighting the company’s growth and achievements, remarks from invited elected officials and a facility tour. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at MPC’s Oro-Medonte location.

MPC’s culture has been a cornerstone of its success. Built on integrity, innovation and collaboration, the company continues to pursue excellence while fostering an environment where team members, customers, suppliers and the wider community can thrive. That foundation has helped transform MPC from a small startup into a respected advanced manufacturer competing at the highest level.

As MPC celebrates 20 years in business, the company is not only reflecting on its journey but also looking ahead with confidence. The anniversary serves as both a celebration of the past and a statement of belief in the future of Canadian manufacturing, local job creation and meaningful careers built close to home.
