Our Traffic Unit is investigating a single-vehicle collision that occurred this morning, sending one man to the hospital.
At approximately 6:20 a.m., on Sunday, April 26, 2026, a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by a man in his 20s, was travelling southbound on Macleod Trail S. at 94 Avenue S.E., when it left the roadway and struck a traffic signal pole located on the centre median.
The driver, who was the sole occupant, was transported to the hospital in life-threatening condition and has since been upgraded to stable with life-altering injuries.
Speed and alcohol are being investigated as possible factors in the collision.
