28-year-old Alberta murder suspect arrested in B.C.

A man wanted in connection to a murder in Alberta has been arrested in Sooke.
Cole Erich Hill was arrested Saturday (April 25) by Vermilion RCMP with the assistance of Alberta RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit.
Sooke and West Shore RCMP detachments, including West Shore’s bike unit, also assisted in locating Hill and his arrest.
Hill was arrested in relation to the murder of 30-year-old Vermilion resident Brady Greg Snelgrove on Jan. 21 in Vermilion.
Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit was able to secure sufficient evidence to support charges and obtained an arrest warrant for Hill on April 22, said a RCMP news release. However, investigators determined Hill had fled Alberta after Snelgrove’s murder.
The 28-year-old of no fixed address has been charged with second degree murder.
Hill has been remanded into custody and will be transported back to Alberta.
Once back in Alberta, he will be brought before a Justice of the Peace regarding future court status.
