CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — NASCAR cup driver William Byron was in south Charlotte Monday for his sixth annual charity golf tournament.
The tournament at Providence Country Club helps support fundraising efforts for the more than 1,000 youth in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas and the William Byron Foundation.

“It means more to the people who have put it all together,” Bryon said. “They really have put in a lot of effort to make this happen and support the community. … It’s something that I was a part of when I was young and it’s something that’s important to the community.”
