Brad Stevens needs to make some room on his shelves.
The Boston Celtics president was named the NBA’s executive of the year, the league announced on Tuesday.
It’s the second the time the 49-year-old has earned the award, making him the 12th executive to win it multiple times.
The award is voted on by fellow executives across the league. Atlanta Hawks GM Onsi Saleh, who grew up in Alberta, finished second in voting.
Stevens guided the Celtics to a second-place finish in the Eastern Conference at 56-26 despite missing star forward Jayson Tatum to an Achilles injury for most of the season.
In the off-season, he dealt away stalwarts like Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis while re-shaping the roster around guard Jaylen Brown and a potential Tatum return, which happened late in the campaign.
At the trade deadline, he flipped guard Anfernee Simons — acquired in the Holiday deal from the Portland Trail Blazers — to the Chicago Bulls for big man Nikola Vucevic.
The Celtics lead the Philadelphia 76ers 3-1 in their first-round series and could close it out in Game 5 on Tuesday.
