Crews are battling a three-alarm fire at an Etobicoke yacht club.
The fire broke out at the Toronto Humber Yacht Club, located at 101 Humber Valley Road, shortly before 5 a.m.
Toronto Fire said the blaze has escalated to a three-alarm event, with multiple trucks pumping water to the site.
Crews are undertaking an exterior attack and police have said that it appears the flames have spread to nearby trees.
Members of the public are being advised to avoid the area.
No injuries have been reported.
Sydney Cook, a resident of the area, witnessed firefighters working to extinguish the blaze on Wednesday morning.
He told CP24 that the building has been completely destroyed.
“I went to my middle school graduation there. I’m so sad,” he said.
