Rodeo offers good value for money: Rick Hugh

The Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair offers good value for money.
That’s the message Rick Hugh was sending out to the community April 27.
Hugh, 1st vice-president of the Cloverdale Rodeo and Exhibition Association, said there are many things people can do for low- or no-cost at the rodeo. He wanted to highlight the immense “value-to-money” ratio.
“With life getting increasingly expensive, we strive to give families good value for their hard-earned money,” he said.
Hugh noted there are several things that families should be aware of about the rodeo and fair, such as kids 12-and-under get into the Fairgrounds for free, no ticket required (rodeo performance tickets, however, are an extra cost).
He also noted there are several ways to save money, such as: 1.) buying your tickets in advance versus the day of; 2.) buying a full 5-day gate pass for $40.85; 3.) and buying a Thursday only gate pass for $7.45.
“Thursday also includes the Sneak-A-Peek Rodeo Show at the Stetson Bowl,” he revealed.
Hugh said that once a person is on the grounds—after they get in with their gate admission ticket—there are numerous no-cost attractions and things to experience, such as: extreme dog show, mini golf, pig racing, roller derby, lumberjack show, demolition derby, freestyle motocross, skateboarding demonstrations, farrier demonstrations, little pro rodeo, a plethora of musical performances across 10 different stages, an interactive farm area for kids, pet a llama, hold a baby chick, check out water buffalo and honey bees, pan for gold, crafting in the indigenous village, among many other things.
“I should add, that smiles are also provided, free of charge, from the rodeo and country fair volunteers—all 450 of them.”
