How do you think Apple’s involvement with F1 can raise the profile even more for the sport?

I think it’s a very exciting deal, and particularly when you look at the numbers they’re paying.

I think it’s like a gazillion billion dollars or something per year for the rights to stream Formula 1.

A few years ago, you just would not have had that.

So very exciting news, I think, for the American audience, because whenever a new broadcaster comes in, whatever country it happens to be, they usually bring fresh ideas and fresh energy.

And I remember I, I grew up in the 1980s, in the UK, as you can tell by my accent.

there was only one other guy in my class at school who watched Formula 1.

The BBC screened Formula 1 at that time, and if there was something that they deemed more exciting that weekend, they’d just not bother.

So if it rained at Wimbledon during the week, and they had to, broadcast the tennis on the weekend, nope, scrap the Formula 1.

And then ITV came in, a commercial broadcaster.

You got a much more extensive program, much more in-depth, guaranteed live coverage, and that’s just got better and better.

I’m sure what Apple will bring to the US audience is a much more elevated product than what they had before.
