Kids scavenger hunt set for 2026 Cloverdale Rodeo and Fair

There’ll be a scavenger hunt this year for kids at the Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair.
Rick Hugh, 1st vice-president of the Cloverdale Rodeo and Exhibition Association, said the new initiative is just another way the rodeo and fair is engaging youngsters
Hugh said the scavenger hunt will be both a “fun and informative” activity.
“(It’s) designed to give kids, 12-and-under, a chance to check out a variety of displays, activities, and performances—and be entered into daily draws.”
He explained that scavenger hunt cards will be available at a number of locations throughout the Cloverdale Fairgrounds, including: information booths, the Buckaroo Kid’s Corral (Cloverdale Rec. Centre), and all Fairgrounds entrance gates.
Each scavenger hunt card will have 12 different items listed on it.
“There will be a scavenger hunt sign posted at each of those 12 locations with a number posted on the sign,” Hugh added. “Kids can visit those locations and write the posted number down on their card.”
He said the kids then deposit the cards in a box at the Trading Post merchandise booth. From there the cards will be entered in daily draws for various prizes.
“There will be handy-dandy fun maps available from our Wranglers, aka ‘Ask Me’ ambassadors,” Hugh added. “Those maps will assist fair-goers in finding the locations of the attractions listed on the scavenger hunt cards.”
