GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – Colorado Mesa Running Back Brandon Belgrave will get a chance to pursue professional football in Canada after receiving a camp invitation with the Calgary Stampeders in the Canadian Football League.
Belgrave, a native of Panama, rushed for 1347 yards in his time with the Mavs.
This last season, he erupted for 209 yards, and three total touchdown in a 28-24 victory for the Mavs against Colorado Mines in Golden. Belgrave’s third touchdown was through the air, with :11 on the clock to secure the CMU win.
The Stampeders are coming off an 11-7 season where they made an appearance in the playoffs.
