A Winnipeg hospital’s phone service has been restored after a days-long outage, Bell MTS says.
The company said Saturday landline service has been restored for Grace Hospital and other Manitoba customers following a service disruption that began early Tuesday morning.
A notice posted earlier this week on Grace Hospital’s website advised Winnipeggers it was experiencing intermittent issues with its phone services and that it couldn’t take some inbound calls.

The notice, which was still up as of 3 p.m. Saturday, said Bell MTS was working to fix the problem.
Bell MTS spokesperson David Marcille said in an email Saturday afternoon all customers were now back online, and that the situation at the hospital had been resolved.
Marcille said the outage was due to a commercial power outage at a central network facility early Tuesday morning. The spokesperson said customers who may still be having issues should contact the company’s support team.
Bell MTS did not provide any estimates as to how many customers were impacted by the outage.
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority did not respond to requests for comment Saturday.
