A decade ago, Shari Dishman started a GoFundMe, seeking every possible avenue to support her then-15-year-old daughter Hailey Baptiste’s burgeoning tennis career.
In her message to potential supporters, Dishman detailed Baptiste’s beginnings in the sport, from a free after-school program at the William Fitzgerald Tennis Center in Rock Creek Park to being invited to train at the Junior Tennis Champions Center in College Park.
