Unbeatens clash in London on Sunday as Yaser Al Ghena defends his WBO European super lightweight title against Brad Townsend
Undefeated Yaser Al Ghena (15-0, 3 KOs) puts his WBO European super lightweight belt on the line Sunday when he squares off with unbeaten Brad Townsend (19-0, 3 KOs) in the main event of a Top Tier Boxing card at York Hall in Bethnal Green on London’s East End. Also at stake is the vacant Commonwealth super lightweight title. Al Ghena claimed the vacant WBO European championship on Nov. 30 with a unanimous 10-round decision over Mykey Lee Broughton at York Hall. Townsend won via disqualification over Billy Allington on Nov. 15 in his last bout, also at York Hall. Saturday’s main event is scheduled for 12 rounds.

Just prior to the main event, middleweights Kevin Reavell (6-5-2, 2 KOs) and Brad Axe (4-1) square off in a scheduled eight-round matchup. Reavell comes off a ninth-round TKO loss to Muzamiru Kakande at Brentwood, England, on Sept. 7 in what was a scheduled 10-round fight. Axe, whose longest previous bout was six rounds, defeated Steve Davies on points in a four-rounder on Nov. 22 in Bristol, England.
Unbeaten super middleweights clash in a bout scheduled for eight rounds when Taiwo Mosuro (7-0, 4 KOs) takes on Musa Moyo (6-0). Mosuro knocked out Grant Dennis with a right hook 55 seconds into the fourth round on Feb. 15 in Brentwood, England, in a scheduled eight-round fight. Moyo takes his first fight since a six-round decision over Edgars Sniedze on June 10, 2023.
Six other fights are on the card, most notably a welterweight battle between Henry Turner (15-1, 7 KOs) and Mark Andrejev (6-5-1) scheduled for eight rounds. Turner stopped Ivan Blazevic 54 seconds into Round 3 of a scheduled eight-round bout on Aug. 23 at Altrincham, England, his last time out while Andrejev has won his last two fights, including a four-round unanimous decision over Luca Grusovin in Narva, Estonia, on March 14.
