2 people extricated after Vancouver Island vehicle crash

Two people were extricated by fire department personnel after a vehicle crashed onto its side in Nanoose Bay the morning of May 3.
The Nanoose Bay Fire Department responded at approximately 11:30 a.m. to the single vehicle crash on the Island Highway, according to Fire Chief Leo Groenewegen.
“No serious injuries were stated or observed, however firefighters had to remove a portion of the roof to extricate the occupants safely,” Groenewegen told the PQB News. “Firefighters were able to remove the occupants with BC EHS present, and patients were taken to hospital.”
Oceanside RCMP also responded to the scene.
