A child who went missing in the water at Mahogany Beach has been found and taken to a hospital for critical care.
Emergency crews were called to the southeast Calgary lake shortly before 7:30 p.m. Sunday for reports of a young swimmer missing in the water, said Alberta Emergency Health Services spokesman Stuart Brideaux.
“After a period of time, Calgary Fire Department aquatic teams did locate a patient, at which point EHS crews transported the youth to the South Health Campus in critical and life-threatening condition,” Brideaux said.
Additional information about the patient or the incident wasn’t immediately available.
