A Mississauga man is facing seven charges, police say, in connection with a sexual assault investigation at a former daycare in Welland, Ont.
Juan Carlos Castillo-Fuenmayor, 61, was arrested last week. Niagara police say they identified a suspect via a DNA warrant.
Police started the investigation in August of 2024 at a former daycare located on Heron Street in Welland. Niagara police spokesperson Const. Jessica Martin told CBC Hamilton in an email the daycare was operating at the time the investigation started.
