Red Dress Day is on Tuesday, May 5, and it honors missing and murdered Indigenous women. It raises awareness of the high violence rates against Indigenous people.
Milly Karhioo-Saadeh, Indigenous Relations Strategic Planner with the City of Edmonton, tells CFWE that people wear red and hang dresses in trees or windows to remember those who have passed.
