Two clinics in Mississauga and Brampton now have extended service hours to help parents with hands-on infant feeding support.
With a growing number of births and more than 17,000 babies born in 2024, the need for more postpartum support has also increased, according to the region.
“Infant feeding support is a critical, time-sensitive intervention that directly impacts the long-term health of both mother and baby,” Peel Public Health says.
Peel Public Health nurses provided free infant feeding support at more than 3,500 appointments in 2025, and as of Monday, there are extended hours at Baby Feeding Support clinics.
“Expanding service hours in the Baby Feeding Support clinics means more families will be able to access support in a timely manner, helping set the foundation for healthy outcomes for both parent and baby,” Peel Public Health says.
Now open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, the Baby Feeding Support clinics are located at 10 Peel Centre Dr. in Brampton and 6975 Meadowvale Town Centre Circ. in Mississauga.
Appointments are made available to residents following a referral from a healthcare provider, local hospitals and through Peel’s Multichannel Contact Centre.
