Texas Motor Speedway played host to this past weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series, where Kyle Busch and Joey Logano found themselves in controversial moments on the track.
Chase Elliott became just the second driver of this season to secure more than one win with an impressive performance in what was another chaotic race.
Meanwhile, three-time Cup Series champion Logano’s difficult season continued as he did not finish in Texas while having to explain his actions.

Logano’s difficult 2026 season continued after recording a DNF in Texas, after crashing into Cole Custer while leaving pit road after a caution.
The three-time Cup Series champion, who admitted he’s having a tough year, said on the incident: “Everyone was trying to get two tires, and the whole field is passing you because the pit stops are so fast on two tires.
“Cole just checked up in front of me, stopped, and you’re trying to look and try to get up out of the way, and it just stopped. There was nothing I could do. I couldn’t stop in time.”
NASCAR facing calls to suspend Kyle Busch
Some NASCAR fans have told Busch he should be suspended after an incident on the track in Texas last weekend, a coming together with Nemechek.
Busch and Nemechek appeared to be battling for position before Busch hit the outside wall while sustaining damage, before seemingly getting payback in what looked to be intentional contact on the same driver.
After the race, Busch faced criticism, as one fan tweeted: “I think Busch should be suspended for this. He intentionally wrecked him.”
Another wrote: “Enjoy your one-race suspension, Kyle Busch.”
