The Department of Fisheries and Oceans and Vancouver police are investigating after a grey whale was struck by a personal watercraft off Vancouver’s English Bay Monday night. Sean Brillant, a senior conservation biologist for marine programs at the Canadian Wildlife Federation, told BC Today host Michelle Eliot that while rules exist for maintaining distance from whales, this incident shows more needs to be done.
