The North Battleford Golf and Country Club hosted 120 golfers from across the province this past weekend for their highly anticipated annual two-man best ball tournament, the Molson Open.
The Championship Flight came down to an electrifying finish as Mitch Dunning and Tyler Benoit claimed the coveted Green Jackets after a dramatic playoff showdown. The duo carded a 66 in the first round and a 70 in the second, tying Loch and Weikle, who matched their 136 total with an impressive 65 on Day 1 and 71 on Day 2.
With the title on the line, both teams went toe-to-toe in a three-hole playoff that couldn’t produce a winner. It wasn’t until sudden death that Benoit and Dunning edged out their rivals, sealing the win.
