The highway will be closed entirely starting from Friday at 11 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m., said the City of Toronto on social media.

The city said a full DVP closure will allow crews to work safely while they complete a wide range of maintenance and repairs in the area.
Last month, the city closed a section of the Gardiner Expressway for weekend maintenance and reopened the southbound DVP off-ramp to Richmond Street after it closed in October 2025.
The ramp’s reopening was part of the city’s “accelerated construction schedule” in place to complete work before the it hosts six FIFA World Cup games, the city said.
