The victim of a fatal assault that occurred in the southwest community of Woodlands has been identified.
On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at approximately 5:40 a.m., officers responded to reports of a stabbing in the 2100 block of Woodview Drive S.W. It is believed an altercation occurred between the victim and an unknown individual near 24 Street and Woodview Drive S.W.
The victim was fatally injured during the assault and was declared deceased at the scene.
After completion of an autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner today, Thursday, May 7, 2026, the victim has been identified as 16-year-old Angeline BOUCHER.
Investigators believe the weapon used in the assault may have been disposed of in the area of 24 Street and Woodview Drive S.W. People are asked to contact police immediately if they happen to locate an edged weapon in garbage or recycling bins or in the surrounding area.
At this time, investigators do not believe the incident was random.
No one is in custody at this time. Investigators continue to work to determine the circumstances that led to the assault as well as collect and review CCTV footage and speak with witnesses.
