Winnipeg chiropractor Dr. Dan Chenier is out of the Deck City CHVN Cup but continues to serve the community as a ministry rooted in wellness, faith, and a belief that caring for the body is part of spiritual stewardship.

From newborns to seniors, Chenier says his focus is on improving nervous system function through gentle, low-force spinal adjustments.

“The Bible tells us that our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit. We’re stewarding the health that God gave us. And he wants us to be healthy,” Chenier said.

He describes his practice as more than a job, calling it his ministry.

Focus on whole-body health

Chenier says his approach includes more than spinal care, emphasizing nutrition, lifestyle, and nervous system health.

“And part of that means looking after your spine, your nervous system, your nutrition, and et cetera,” he said.

“And those are all things that I coach people or that I help people with through their chiropractic care and through their healthy lifestyle strategies that I promote through their care.”

Chenier has been in active clinical practice in the community since 1999.

Long-term relationships with patients

Chenier says many of his patients have been with him for decades, and in some cases, he now treats multiple generations within the same families.

“But I love the people in this area, the families, the people who, there are people who have been under my care since I graduated chiropractic school, since I’ve been a licensed chiropractor since 1999.”

“I have people whose children are now adults and they used to see me when they were six months old because they had ear infections or colic and we reminisce on these things at times with these people it’s like you know I used to see when you were six months old you run antibiotics every day of your life your mom took you to see me and no more antibiotics and no more ear infections since you started care and it’s like these are real stories and real people’s lives right here in our community and I love seeing people for a lifetime of care.”

He says he approaches each new patient with the expectation of long-term care.

“When I start a new patient up, I envision that they’ll be with me for their entire life and that their entire family will be under my care for their entire life for wellness care so that I can help them to steward their health the way that God intended.”

Family involvement in the clinic

Chenier says his two teenage daughters also help out in the clinic on Saturdays, describing them as an important part of the team.

He adds that Saturday schedules are often fully booked, something he partly attributes to their contributions.

Community connection and goodwill

As the Deck City CHVN Cup continues, Chenier says he appreciates the broader business community and wishes others well.

“I wish them all the best and all the abundance and all the prosperity that God promises them,” he said.
