A 4.0 magnitude earthquake was felt in central Alberta yesterday, with the rumble taking place approximately 50 kilometres northeast of Fort Saskatchewan.
The seismic activity was lightly felt by those living in the area, with no damage being reported to Earthquakes Canada at the time of the story being written.
The earthquake originated at a depth of two kilometres and was a relatively small shake, with it being a 4.0 magnitude.
This is the second earthquake to hit the Greater Edmonton Area this year, with a similarly small, 4.5 magnitude earthquake hitting approximately 18 kilometres northeast of Morinville in early April.
