An overnight shooting in Surrey, B.C., has sent two people to hospital.
The Surrey Police Service (SPS) said two men were shot outside a Chevron gas station at the intersection of 72nd Avenue and 152 Street just before 4 a.m. PT on Sunday.
Both victims were rushed to hospital.
Surrey police initially reported the men were in critical condition, however B.C. Emergency Health Services later reported one man was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition and one man was in stable condition.
The SPS Major Crimes Section is leading the investigation, and police said the intersection would remain closed for most of Sunday morning.
Police said the motive remains under investigation, but is not believed to be related to extortions.
Investigators have yet to identify any suspects.
