The rider of a motorcycle is in serious condition and lanes have been closed on a Mississauga road following a crash.
The crash happened shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Monday in the westbound lanes of Derry Road near Highway 410, Peel Regional Police say.
One motorcycle and a car collided, and the adult male motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital in serious condition, police say.
Westbound Derry Road has been closed between Tomken Road and Kennedy Road, but access to the 410 from eastbound Derry Road remains open. The closure is expected to be in place “for several hours,” and police are advising drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
