Kalshi will sponsor MMA fighter Nate Diaz in Netflix’s debut card in the sport this weekend at Intuit Dome, as the predictions market company continues to pepper the marketplace with deals. The sides will announce the agreement today without sharing financial details, and it comes ahead of the card headlined by former UFC fighters Ronda Rousey versus Gina Carano. Diaz himself is a former UFC legend with a record of 22-13, and he will fight BKFC’s Mike Perry in what will likely be the second to last bout of the evening. MVP, the boxing promotion founded by Jake Paul that is now getting into MMA, is calling the card a “triple main event.” Yet another former big UFC name, Francis Ngannou, is expected to be the third-to-last bout of the evening in a tilt versus Philipe Lins. Kalshi will get its green lego on the waistline of the back of Diaz’s shorts and work on social media programming with Diaz. The deal was brokered by combat sports executives Andrew Capucetti, Brad Baskin and Zach Rosenfield. It was not immediately clear whether Kalshi will also serve as an advertiser during the Netflix broadcast.
