A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a man wanted in connection with a Mississauga shooting that left two people injured.
The shooting occurred at a plaza near Kennedy Road and Eglinton Avenue East at 9 p.m. on Feb. 21, 2026.
Two men were injured—one sustained non-life-threatening injuries and the second sustained life-threatening injuries, Peel Regional Police said.
The warrant has been issued for 21-year-old Carlos Rodriguez-Rodriguez of Mississauga.
Rodriguez-Rodriguez faces several charges, including:
Unauthorized possession of a firearm
Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
Carrying a concealed weapon
Attempted murder
Aggravated assault
Discharge a firearm with intent
Occupant of a motor vehicle, knowing there was an unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon
Rodriguez-Rodriguez is described as a Latin American man, five-foot-11-inches tall, approximately 150 pounds, with a slim build and black hair.
