GO trains won’t run for two weekends in parts of Toronto, Mississauga, Burlington and Oakville in May.

The service disruption is due to planned construction for the Lakeshore West line expansion.

The construction is planned for the weekends of May 23-24 and 30-31, according to GO Transit.

On both weekends, train service will run between Niagara Falls and Aldershot GO. GO buses will make stops at West Harbour, Aldershot, Burlington, Oakville and Clarkson GO stations, then to Bramalea GO, where customers can connect to eastbound trains on the Kitchener line to Union Station.

On Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24, there will be no GO Transit service at Appleby, Bronte, Port Credit, Long Branch, Mimico, or Exhibition GO. There will be no GO train service between Aldershot GO and Union Station.

On Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, there will be no GO Transit service at Appleby, Bronte, Port Credit, or Long Branch GO. GO trains will run between Mimico GO and Union Station. There will be no GO train service between Aldershot and Mimico GO stations.

The Lakeshore West line expansion will increase the frequency of trains to 15-minute service or better throughout the day between Toronto and Burlington, and new hourly service to and from Hamilton seven days a week.
