Jake Paul has admitted that his boxing future remains uncertain as he continues recovering from serious injuries suffered during his knockout defeat to Anthony Joshua in December.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer sustained a double jaw fracture and lost a tooth during the sixth-round stoppage loss in Miami.

Major Surgery and Recovery Complications

Following the defeat, Paul underwent major surgery, with doctors inserting two titanium plates to stabilise his jaw.

However, complications during recovery forced him to undergo a second procedure after issues developed with the surgical hardware.

Waiting for Medical Clearance

Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Paul revealed he is still waiting to learn whether he will be medically cleared to fight again.

“We’ll see what my doctors say,” Paul said.

“I think I’ll be able to get a more accurate timeframe, or can I even fight again? That is definitely in the realm of possibility.”

Training Still Restricted

The 29-year-old explained that although his condition has gradually improved, he cannot fully resume training until doctors approve his return.

“The jaw does feel a lot better as weeks go by, but I definitely need to get cleared to be able to spar,” he added.

Doubts Over Fighting Future

Paul admitted that concerns about his boxing career have weighed on him during recovery.

“Most definitely,” he said when asked if his boxing future was in doubt.

Despite the uncertainty, he insisted he is not ready to step away from the sport.

“Those doubts have come up, but I’m not done.”

“I can just feel it in my spirit and my soul, and my heart that I have more fights left.”

Professional Record

Paul currently holds a professional boxing record of 12 wins, including seven knockouts, and two defeats.
