A 50-year-old woman is facing an assault charge after a fight broke out outside of Siloam Mission late last month.
Winnipeg Police say they responded to the 300 block of Stanley Avenue at around 6:40 p.m. on April 30 for the report of a physical fight between two women.
A 58-year-old woman involved in the fight declined medical attention and any police involvement.
About 15 minutes later, the woman’s medical condition worsened, and staff at Siloam Mission called an ambulance. The woman was transported to hospital in unstable condition.
Her condition continued to worsen, and the Winnipeg Police Service was contacted.
The woman’s condition has since stabilized.
A 50-year-old woman has been charged with aggravated assault.
She remains in custody.
