A child is in hospital after being hit by a vehicle in northeast Calgary on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to Castleridge Drive NE around 4:25 p.m. for reports of a crash.
Calgary police say a child stepped onto the road and was hit by a passing vehicle. The child was conscious and taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver stayed at the scene, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
