Following Friday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Dover, the 2026 Truck Series regular season is officially halfway complete. With nine races down and eight to go before the 10-driver Chase field is set, here’s what the bubble looks like.
1. Kaden Honeycutt (+151)
2. Layne Riggs (+113)
3. Chandler Smith (+112)
4. Gio Ruggiero (+90)
5. Ty Majeski (+81)
6. Christian Eckes (+75)
7. Ben Rhodes (+50)
Rhodes finished two laps down in 19th on Friday — not exactly the performance expected of a two-time series champion, nor the kind of runs he needs to make the Chase. After missing the postseason for just the second time in his career last season, another miss could be big for Rhodes’ future.
8. Jake Garcia (+17)
Here’s where the bubble gets extremely tight. Garcia finished a solid ninth on Friday, moving up four spots in the standings from 12th. His strong run has three of ThorSport Racing’s four full-time drivers in the provisional Chase field.
9. Stewart Friesen (+12)
Friesen finished 11th on Friday and also bumped his way into the Chase field from 11th. In his return to the track from injury, he’s putting together a quiet but decent 2026 campaign.
10. Tyler Ankrum (+10)
Ankrum had a career year in 2025 but has taken a big step back in 2026. He’s yet to score a single top five and has only two top 10s through nine races. After making the Championship 4 in 2025, the No. 18 team is punching well below its weight class at the moment.
11. Daniel Hemric (-10)
Without crippling mechanical issues that led to a 30th-place finish on Friday, Hemric is likely in the Chase field going into Charlotte. Alas, the No. 19 team, like the No. 18 counterparts, has taken a notable step back from 2025. Hemric is an O’Reilly Series champion and a veteran of 83 Cup races, and it’s time for him to drive like it on a consistent basis.
12. Brenden Queen (-10)
Queen is best in class of the Ram trucks through the first half of the regular season, albeit by only one point over his teammate in Justin Haley. Still, the Truck Series rookie and defending ARCA champ has shown plenty of talent this year. He finished 13th at Dover on Friday.
13. Justin Haley (-11)
Haley has won four O’Reilly Series races, a Cup race (albeit a rain-shortened one), started 180 Cup races and won three Truck races over what is a shockingly lengthy NASCAR career for a 26-year-old. His debut season with Ram and Kaulig’s truck program has been somewhat underwhelming, but he’s keeping his head above water so far.
14. Andres Perez (-40)
Perez only has one top 10 this season, but ran inside the top 10 for much of Friday’s race before hitting the wall and finishing 28th. His average finish of 20.8 through the first nine races leaves plenty to be desired, but he’s hanging in the Chase conversation.
