Nathan Gostling, who founded NR Health and Fitness Clubs, has taken over the former Wilko site on the High Street in Dereham.
Plans were revealed in February, with work on the gym gathering pace.

“Lots and lots has been happening,” Mr Gostling said. “We are on track to open on July 1. Things are going really well.”
His plans for the gym, which spans two floors, include a sauna, boxing area, a Reformer Pilates studio and a Hyrox area.

He continued: “The guys coming in to do the flooring will be in next week, the finishing touches are really starting to come on, everything is really coming together.”
The sauna will be accompanied by an ice bath and hot and cold showers, as well as a lounge area.

“We will also be spending £20,000 on lockers,” Mr Gostling added.
“We really want to make this a premium facility so we are spending the money to ensure these are high quality.”
