The Alberta Medical Association have confirmed a man died in the waiting room of Edmonton’s Royal Alexandra Hospital on May 8. He was admitted and initially assessed but died after waiting several hours. Dr. Warren Thirsk, an emergency physician at the hospital, is calling for changes in how health-care is prioritized in the province. Gates Guarin has the story.
