A fire in a West End Winnipeg house earlier this month claimed the lives of two people, police say.
A 41-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman were located dead inside the 2½-storey home on Langside Street, just south of Sargent Avenue.
Police were called just before 5 a.m. on May 7 and fire crews were already on scene, trying to extinguish the flames which had also spread to a neighbouring vacant home.
Information on the fire wasn’t released until May 18. No additional details about the victims has been provided and no other injuries were reported.
