The 19-year-old travelled to Lithuania, alongside five others, to compete in the restigious Algirdas Socikas Tournament, last week.
Competing at lightweight (60kg), the talented star, who competes for Bowhill Miners Boxing Club, headed into the event having won a pair of gold medals at continental competition in the space of three weeks.
Firstly, in Hungary, she took top honours at the international Bocskai Tournament, winning all four of her bouts, before following that up with another first place in Finland.
In the Gee Bee Tournament, held in Helsinki, she defeated Kazakhstan’s Anar Tursynbek, and Italy’s Ginevra Muzzi, to set up a final with the Netherlands’ Maud van der Toorn.
Niamh claimed victory by unanimous decision, which her club coach, James White, described as “a career best performance”.
In her opener in Lithuania, she took on Ugne Vasiliauskaite, of the host country, in the quarter-final, and produced another winning performance to reach the semi-final.
Another Lithuanian opponent, Ana Starovoitova, stood between Niamh and a place in another final, for the chance of a gold medal.
However, after a spirited contest between the pair, it was Starovoitova who came out on top, securing a final berth as Niamh, who also coaches with Rosyth Boxing Club, picked up a bronze gong.
She will hope to be part of Team Scotland’s squad in the ring at this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, as she continues to add to her impressive medal collection.
Prior to the most recent trio of tournaments, she won GB Three Nations gold, and a silver medal at the USA Boxing Summer festival, last year, which also saw her compete at the inaugural World Boxing Championships in Liverpool.
In 2022, Niamh also made history by becoming the first female boxer to win gold for Scotland at a major international competition by picking up the EUBC (European Boxing Confederation) European Junior Championship, 2kg light bantamweight, title.
The Commonwealth Games, which will take place in Glasgow between July 23 and August 2.
