Jay’siiah Webb-Long’s short life ended thousands of kilometres from home.

The 16-year-old from Brampton last connected with his family in Ontario over social media on May 16, 2025 and was later reported missing to Peel Regional Police.

By July, Saskatchewan RCMP were calling Webb-Long’s disappearance “suspicious.”

On Monday, cops said a planned search near remote Pelican Narrows (population 2,100) that was conducted on May 13 turned up a body and the remains have been identified as Webb-Long. Cops say the boy was murdered.
The reserve is 500 km northeast of Saskatoon.
The teen had been living on the reserve at the time of his disappearance.
According to police, Webb-Long’s family has been notified about the discovery.
