Police are searching for a suspect who is considered “armed and dangerous” after a male victim was stabbed and killed in Mississauga.

The stabbing incident happened around 12:40 p.m. on Monday in a parking lot at the rear of a building at 3024 Hurontario Street, Peel Regional Police say.

A male victim was stabbed and found around the front of the building where Good Samaritans attempted life saving measures before emergency crews arrived, police say.

Paramedics and fire fighters took over caring for the victim, but police say the male died at the scene.

Few details about the victim have been released, including his age, and police said in an update that officers are still working to contact next-of-kin.

Initial reports indicated there could be multiple suspects, but police say they are searching for one Black male who was last seen prior to the stabbing around 12:15 p.m. near Hurontario Street and Dundas Street.

The suspect is considered “armed and dangerous,” and police say anyone who spots the suspect should not approach and call 9-1-1 immediately.

Police say the suspect is described as a Black male with a medium build. He has short black hair and a black goatee, and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with a black zipper-style jacket, fluorescent green pants, Timberland-style boots and a black watch on his right wrist.

Investigators say anyone with information on the suspect, or who may have dash camera footage from the area, is asked to contact police by calling 905-453-3311. Anonymous tips may also be submitted to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by visiting www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.

When you contact Crime Stoppers you stay anonymous, never have to testify, and could receive a $2,000 reward.
