Police say 33 people have been arrested in what they’re describing as the “largest drug seizure in Manitoba history.”

The Winnipeg Police Service is characterizing the operation as an interprovincial drug investigation involving forces in Manitoba, Alberta and Ontario.

A press conference is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday. Several people are expected to speak, including Minister of Justice Matt Wiebe, WPS Deputy Chief Cam Mackid, and officials from other police forces.

More coming.
