Toronto police say one person is dead and two others have life-threatening injuries following a suspected impaired driving crash in Scarborough.
Emergency crews were called to Sheppard Avenue and Vandorf Street, just north of Highway 401, Thursday night for a two-vehicle collision.
Police said a man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene, while another man in his 40s and a 35-year-old woman were taken to hospital in critical condition.
A 49-year-old man was arrested for suspected impaired driving. He has not been identified by police.
Sheppard Avenue East remains closed for an investigation.
