The Winnipeg Folk Festival will return this summer from July 9 to July 12. The festival boasts an impressive lineup coming to Birds Hill Provincial Park, including Lucy Dacus (pictured above), Father John Misty, and more.
In addition to live music, the festival will feature Hand-Made Village, which will see 50 artisans gather to sell their handcrafted works, as well as food vendors and more.
Here are five must-see artists performing at Winnipeg Folk Festival 2026. Find more details, including ticket info, at the event’s website.
Lucy Dacus
Don’t forget the tissues! Lucy Dacus took over For You pages everywhere a couple years ago with her supergroup boygenius, and her own solo work (as heard on last year’s Forever Is a Feeling) is similarly melodic and touching.
Father John Misty
Beard? Check. Humour? Check. Catchy songs filled with existential despair? Check and check.
GOAT
Enigmatic and experimental, this mysteriously masked Swedish band will bewitch fans with a show to keep listeners entranced and entertained every single step of the way.
Real Estate
This jangle pop band that makes music you drive to (that’s a compliment). Originally hailing from New Jersey, this band’s warm, hazy guitars make every day feel like cruising with the windows down and the sun on your face.
Ribbon Skirt
Exclaim! named this rock duo’s 2025 album Bite Down the best record of the year. “When there’s a song that I really love, there’s usually one or two lines that really stick out,” Tashiini Buswa told Exclaim! of her outside-of-the-box writing process. “Every song needs that line, or those two lines.”
