After losing an epic final to Carlos Alcaraz last year, the Italian will be hoping to go one step further this year in order to complete the career Grand Slam.

It’s a comfortable start to the tournament for Sinner who starts his campaign against Clement Tabur before either Juan Manuel Cerundolo or Britain’s Jacob Fearnley awaits in the second round. A third round clash against Corentin Moutet shouldn’t pose too many problems but a contest against Martin Landaluce could be more challenging. In the fourth round, Sinner will likely face compatriot and Rome semi-finalist Luciano Darderi while Ben Shelton awaits in the semi-finals. There are a few challenging players in his section of the draw but Sinner enters the next two weeks as favourite given his last defeat came three months ago.

There have been disappointing results for Zverev in recent weeks but the German needs to put that one side as his Grand Slam dreams are on the line in Paris.

A tough first round meeting against Benjamin Bonzi will test Zverev’s skillset early on with a brutal second round match against Tomas Machac or Zizou Bergs awaiting the German. In the third round Zverev will take on Ugo Humbert while in the fourth round Zverev faces Karen Khachanov or more likely the in-form Arthur Fils. A quarter-final against rival Taylor Fritz could await Zverev but according to current form rising star Rafael Jodar is a more likely outcome. If Zverev can overcome the early stages then Zverev could be on course to make his second Roland Garros final in three years.

Three-time champion Djokovic enters Roland Garros having only played one clay court match but underestimate him at your peril.

A brutal draw awaits Djokovic with big-serving Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard awaiting in the first round. A second round clash against Valentin Royer will be a much-needed reprieve before Djokovic endures a massive test against the talented Joao Fonseca. In the fourth Djokovic will face former finalist and Rome finalist Casper Ruud with Alex De Minaur set to be the Serb’s quarter-final opponent. There are fitness concerns that haunt Djokovic’s progress in Paris but a tough draw could be what Djokovic needs in his bid for history as he searches for a 25th Grand Slam title in Paris.

Despite clay being his favourite surface, Auger-Aliassime has been underwhelming at Roland Garros and will look to put that right this year.

It’s a tricky and awkward draw for Auger-Aliassime who begins against Daniel Atmaier who is always good at Roland Garros. A second round test against Sebastian Baez before Brandon Nakashima could await in the third round. In the last 16, Auger-Aliassime will face either Valentin Vacherot or Cameron Norrie before a quarter-final against Daniil Medvedev. A tricky route for Auger-Aliassime and a lack of clay court form could mean that the Canadian misses out on a first Roland Garros quarter-final.

Roland Garros starts on Sunday 25th of May and concludes on Sunday seventh of June.
