A man is wanted in connection with a fatal stabbing that took place in Mississauga earlier this week.
Peel Regional Police say officers responded to reports of a stabbing near Hurontario Street and Agnes Street at around 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
It’s alleged that the victim and suspect became involved in a physical altercation in a nearby parking lot before the victim was stabbed.
Police later identified the victim as 32-year-old Chay Wilson, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jerome Edwards, 28, of no fixed address, is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder, police say.
He is described as a Black man with a medium build, short black hair and a black goatee. Officers say he was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black zip-up jacket, fluorescent green pants and yellow Timberland-style boots.
Edwards is also known to frequent the Hurontario Street and Dundas Street area.
Police say the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. The public is warned not to approach him if seen.
