The Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive line is getting just that. The group will have a new look in 2026 after some key offseason departures. One player hoping to step up is second-year Rider Kendy Charles. And Charles is getting a lot of help from his new coach and former teammate, Micah Johnson.
“He’s doing a great job. The things he’s doing and the way we’re working out the details. In the game we just played, he saw something he told me, and I went out there and did it. And that’s how I got my last sack. So he’s doing a great job.”
So, does Charles think Johnson should get credit for half the sack?
“I think so. He should, because he definitely saw it. He definitely had an eye for the game, and he does great things, man. Like he’s doing a great job.”
