The 2026 F1 Canadian Grand Prix is currently set to feature wet conditions, with a 90% chance of rain hitting Montreal.
As of 07:45 ET local time on Sunday, May 24th, the current forecast is for a wet and wind-affected race, with wind potentially up to 50kph.
A huge rain cell is passing over Montreal in the morning, with conditions set to improve throughout the day, but still be enough to cause significant disruption to the grand prix – planned for a 16:00 local time start.
The wind and rain will be gusting from the west to east, which is right-to-left across the straight-finish start, which runs south.
Pirelli has already advised teams and drivers to use the full wet tyres, owing to the combination of cool air temperatures of 10-13 degrees Celsius, and a track layout which does not feature high-speed corners to generate tyre temperatures.
