Shots fired in Griffintown, police say

Gunshots were fired late Sunday in Montreal’s Sud-Ouest borough, police say, though no injuries have been reported.

Several 911 callers reported hearing the shots on Young St. near William St. in Griffintown, Montreal police spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils said.

When police arrived, “no victim or suspect was located,” Chèvrefils said.

“More than one shell casing was found on the ground,” she said.

Police have set up a perimeter around the scene to conduct an investigation.
