Union Pearson Express trains aren’t running at Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga due to a service “disruption,” transit officials said on Monday morning.
In place of the trains, GO buses are moving passengers directly between Union Station in downtown Toronto and Canada’s biggest and busiest airport, Pearson officials said, adding the buses can be accessed at Terminal 1, ground Level, post Q4.
“UP Express service is currently experiencing a disruption. Our teams are actively working to restore full, reliable service as quickly and safely as possible,” UP Express officials said in a post to social media on Monday morning.

When service is operating, the UP Express runs trains every 15 minutes daily until 1 a.m. between downtown Toronto and Pearson.
Officials at Metrolinx, the provincial agency that oversees UP Express and GO Transit, said earlier the express train service “has become an integral part of transit in Toronto, having served more than 26 million passengers” since its inception in 2015.
In what at the time was the “first dedicated express air-rail link service in North America,” the UP Express took its first passengers between Pearson and Union Station in downtown Toronto on June 6, 2015, Ontario transit officials said earlier.
